Choice of Stain

Pure Löyly offers two stain choices if you decide to opt into having us stain your sauna prior to shipping.  Proper sauna stain is important for the life and look of your sauna.  We use only oil based premium stains, that guarantee years of worry free and maintenance free use of your sauna.  We do not "paint" our saunas, that would defeat the purpose of having a full cedar sauna.  Rather, we choose to stain the sauna, keeping the cedar look by enhancing it with specialized cedar stain to bring out the grain and the knots of the walls.   

We offer two choices of tones for stain 
(first image) Natural - with amber tones to make the western red cedar pop in colours
(second image) Dark Oak - more brown tones to deepen the grain look 

In-house stain option ranges in price from $699 - $999 depending on model

*Note - If you choose to stain it yourself, we recommend and OIL based stain made for cedar and outdoor use.  Unstained saunas will grey and possibly cause cracking in the exterior portions of the walls over time*
