All Pure Löyly saunas are made using western red cedar on both sides of the walls, inside and out.  2" framing that adds strength and allows for foil and insulated space.  Twice the cedar is used compared to others in the industry.  No aluminum siding, no pre-fabricated panels.  All panels are made by hand inside and out.  Exterior and interior walls/roof use knotty cedar, benches and duck board is made using clear.  

Why this matters.

Cedar is a timeless material.  Bringing richness to the look for a true outdoor style that looks like a sauna and performs like one as well.  We do not paint our saunas because paint on cedar not only ruins the beauty of cedar, but defeats the purpose of cedar being used on exteriors with its excellent resilience against environmental changes.  Cedars should be stained to enhance the natural grains of the wood.  The knots and grains of cedar are brightened using an oil base, high quality stain.
